Most other pop-up dining experiences are run by chefs and focus on the food, where the drinks are just an after thought.
Chris Hill, proprietor of Latitude Wine & Liquor Merchant, has long had a passion for wine. So when the opportunity to move from Restaurant Manager to Wine Shop Owner came around in 2008, when Hoults Wine Merchants decided to sell their Leeds-based premises, he jumped at the opportunity.
Alongside his professional interests, Chris also has a passion for cooking and is regularly whipping up a storm in the kitchen (much to the pleasure of his wife, Suzie). His weekends and holidays are spent combining this passion for food and drink and with an extensive library of wines to pick from, the possibilities are endless!
However, it was his time at Harvey Nichols 4th Floor Restaurant back in 20??, when he met Richard Walton-Allen, that really saw the seeds for the Tasting Room concept planted.
